Hey, So I just woke up and wanted to play some BF1 but my PC doesn't want to boot. It powers on but bios doesn't start and pc shutdowns after 5-10secs and tries to boot again. Mobo doesn't give any beeps.

Tried to reset bios by removing cmos battery but didn't help.
PC:

i7 5820k

palit gtx 1080

xtx 750w psu

4x 4gb ripjaws 3200mhz

ga-x99 mobo

Is it PSU's fault?

Regards

Did it work before you went to bed? Do you have a debug light on the mobo? Install a mobo speaker if you don't have one already and tell  us beep codes. One simple solution is just checking all your cables, both inside the pc (cpu power, mobo power) and io cables (mouse, keyboard, display)

Try taking your ram out and putting it back in. This solves silly boot problems like this a lot of the time.

As the others said, if your mobo has a debud led readout, youre lucky and you should be able to troubleshoot it much easier.

When in doubt, re-format.

Yes, PC worked fine before I went to bed. Tried reconnecting power cables to mobo, cpu. Tried to start with gpu unconnected. Tried to reconnect RAMs. Still the same.

My mobo doesn't have debug led display ;/ Also I can't find speaker pins I guess my case Be quiet silentbase 800 doesn't have them ;/

mobo speaker arrived but it doesnt give any beeps. Any suggestions now? ;/

Also my keboard and mouse don't work.

Pull all the RAM and your GPU, then try starting it again with the speaker connected. If it still doesn't give you any beeps, then it's got to be one of the PSU, motherboard, or CPU. My money's motherboard if that's the case, but just in case, try re-seating your CPU, and making absolutely sure that your CPU fan's connected to the CPU fan header.

What I noticed is that gpu fans stop working after ~10secs. Could it be gpu too?

I tried without GPU and RAM and still no beeps. I don't know man, will try to test my gpu at my friend's place tomorrow if not it's probably CPU.

Motherboard or CPU is my vote. It'd be strange but not unheard of to be the CPU, but before writing it off, try re-seating it or trying it in another motherboard if you have access to one (and vice-versa if you have access to another 2011-V3 CPU).

I have a different mobo now and the difference is that PC doesn't shut down. On previous mobo it did shut down after 10secs.

Hmm. Definitely starting to look like a CPU problem... You've tried clearing the CMOS on that different mobo?
