Eeey Guys!

So I've recently got a GTX 1080 (I already own it), which lead to me working my ass of to get my Custom-Built PC

But since I'm new to the Builders Community, I have no clue what I should get.

Thus I came to these Forums to ask what I should change about my Build;

These are a few things I want;

- Color-Scheme; Black, Silver Accents, RGB LED's

- Probably a Custom-Loop (My Friend has his own, he will help me)

- Great OC, but still quietness (English I know)

- Primarily for Gaming, Secundarily for 3D Rendering (CS:GO-ish) 2K-ish Video and 4K-ish Photo Editing (As a Hobby (Don't mind longer Render Times!))

- CD-DVD Drives (I know....)

- Budget of 2300 Euro's

- 21:9 Screen (Acer Predator X34, maybe, don't mind working some more for that,)

I came up with 2 Builds;

The Z170; http://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/hFb4gL (The 6700K will probz become the 7700K, if significantly better)

The X99; http://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/4HnkD8 (The Mobo costs about 300 Euro's)

They're roughly the same price

(I would also appreciate if u guys could give me ideas on the amount of storage)

Please tell me what u think of these Builds and tell me if u would Change anything

Thx!

(P.S. yes I know the Dominator Platinums and the M VIII Formula are overpriced, but I choose them because of the Color-Scheme)

As I said before, 750W is overkill, 500W is enough. Dont get the founders edition, higher cost for worse temps. Any reason you are reposting it?

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

He reposted it to say that? I already thought that was clearly implied in the last post. If not, a simple edit would have done.

You should add a hard drive into this build somewhere. If youre gonna do video editing, 500gb might not cut it. You could add a 1-4tb drive in for pretty cheap. You could also bring that 500gb ssd down to a 480gb ssd. That way youd have more budget for a hdd. Just my opinion tho. Badass rig dude

Umm i dont know anything about water cooling but since your planning to have one i might suggest research on youtube or google about water cooling and its maintenance your friend wont be always there to help you about it, a single leak may become your worse nightmare, but if you already made your own research about it good for you

If you can, I would spring for 256gb Samsung 950 pro NVMe SSD.  Just installed one a friends computer, and holy shit, its awesome. And for mass storage id get a Western Digital 4TB Black HDD

True, but those NVMe SSD's are quite expensive!

I thought I should get the 750W, because my Rig would require 640W when I 2 Way-SLI

The predator is only  PCIe 2.0, so Its not nearly as fast as the Samsung 950 at PCIe 3.0.  But, it still a significant upgrade to a SATA drive.

Oh u meant the NVMe 950bPro, that one is still quiet affordable, 512GB for about 300 Euro, I could throw in a 3TB HDD for 100 more Euro's should be enough
