Best Aftermarket CPU Cooler (Air)

TheRoss0411

I just posted a topic asking about the intel stock cooler. The response that i got indicated that i should probably go for an aftermarket cooler

What would you choose as the best CPU cooler (Air) ? Taking into consideration:

  • Price (As little money as possible)
  • How easy it is to install (First Build)
  • As little noise as possible

Thanks

Hyper 212 Evo is cheap and quiet but is a little bit hard to install.

Hyper 212 Evo, best price to performance. Also there are many tutorial videos on how to install it as its a very popular. For any air cooler, you can just replace the fan if you want it to be quieter.

Whichever Noctua is in your budget, IMO. Check your out your local supplier. They are easy to install and work like a charm. Pair them with some Noctua fans and you're in business :)

For price/performance only Hyper 212 might be best bet. For performance/quiet, any bit more expensive Noctua. Noctuas mounting is also really easy to do.

Former cooler: Xigmatek Dark Knight 2 120mm cooler @ around 50 US---Current 1: Silverstone Heligon HE01 @ around 75 US...for the Dark Knight 2 I used Akasa Apache 120mm in push/pull...the Heligon uses the stock fan from Silverstone...not bad.  Good luck with your choice.
