Does g4400 support ddr4

Hi all I will be selling my q9650 rig in favor of the newer 1151 socket I will want to purchase a cheaper cpu(g4400) and later on upgrade to a i5. So hence the question if I buy ddr4 ram will the g4400 use it or will it need ddr3. To my knowledge I am aware the drr4 ram would be a bottlenecked by it
