EVGA 1860 MHz / 1632 MHz / 8108 MHz
MSI 1809 MHz / 1594 MHz / 8108 MHz (OC Mode)

EVGA has more clocks than MSI, how many FPS I will gain with EVGA?. Which is better?.

There probably won't be much difference in performance, so do some research and see which one is a better overclocker.

the MSI Gaming X Cooler is a amazing, I'd definitely go with that unless it conflicts with your PC's color scheme, and you are about aesthetics.

I would just get the MSI to save $45 bucks and get a game or a couple of games (or a new mouse or something like that)

This is his research genius.

I say EVGA for their better customer support.

probs not much, maybe 1-2 max.

But i was telling him to research overclocking ability, not the cards because i know he did that :/

factory oc on pascal dont matter because gpu boost 3.0 boosts it way past the rated speeds anyways, usually somewhere around 1900mhz. it all comes down to silicon lottery, so just get the cheaper one

MSI. It's $45 bucks cheaper and a solid card.

I'd buy this single fan EVGA GTX 1060 SC 6GB for $240:

A GTX 1060 uses so little power there is no reason to spend money on a hefty PCB like in the FTW card. I like EVGA because of the customer support. But if you're choosing only between those two cards and can't stand the thought of having one of the single fan cards I'd buy the MSI one. $305 for a GTX 1060 is ridiculous.

Agreed I just purchased this, personally i don't give a fuck how a GPU looks and considering your deciding on paying 50-100$+ for silly features like a backplate and leds LUL when this card is just as good, cool and quiet.

But that's just preference i guess.

I'm probably going to end up buying a 1070, and I think I'll just pick up the cheapest open air EVGA card. It was a mistake when I did that with my 970 (I should have spent the extra on the FTW), but Maxwell overclocks like a madman (except my 970 SC lol) and shows significant performance increases from it and from beefier VRMs like on the FTW. Pascal doesn't seem to OC nearly as well, the benefits from OC aren't as much, and none of the reviews make it sound like power delivery matters even with the 1080, much less the 1070.

LOL and I am using the cheapest, ugliest, "noisiest", hottest GTX 1060 of all GTX 1060s: the Zotac mini.

And it's not even that loud and it performs super duper.

I believe that the AIBs are on to something by "over-pimping" their graphics cards with a modest overclock and charging extra. From a business perspective this makes so much sense. I think they call this "added-value", which implies that you take a product, slap features on it and charge extra. It's the oldest trick in the game, and risk-adverse people consistently fall for it.
