what should i do about my gpu sag?

ayyyyZJ

hey. so I was wondering, how should I fix GPU sag? whats the best way? right now my GPU is being held up by a spare GPU (PCMR) but it seems to be blocking airflow from the front of the case. is there any product made for this? or is my best bet just finding something tall and skinny? thanks!

Viagra helps if it sags a lot ;)

You shouldn't worry about it, unless it breaks off your pcie slot, it's fine.

Love the answers, however on a serious note, not sure if there is.
Most cards have 2 tightening thumbscrews at the back to keep the card from sagging.
My MSI R6970 Lightning is one of the longest cards in existence and doesn't sag.

Worst case scenario, you can make a ghetto sag bra like above with a ziptie.

Turning the case side ways is probably the simplest and most effective option when possible if your worried about it that much.

With my GTX 980 Classified (aka heavy ass card) I got a wooden dowel from a hardware store, nothing big maybe 1/4" and then cut it down to the right length and wedged it inbetween the case floor and the end of the graphics card.  Painted black you can't even tell it's there.  The GPU sag wouldn't have really been detrimental I just didn't like the way it looked.

I can get you a picture if you'd like.

There are some cases with GPU stands. Think Coolermaster also has it for the Mastercase series. Since they also sell stuff seperate you could check out that and if they have them sold seperatly if it fits your case. But might still require some tinkering.

How badly is it sagging? Because 99% of the time it's completely fine and there's nothing to worry about.

there isn't much sag, but it's just one of the things I was worried about with longevity. :)

I would say try crafting something that looks discrete and could securely attach the small slots on your case. Maybe like a small metal plate that you could use screws through the slots to attach it?

I see. Well the same idea could work for the s340 elite depending on where the edge of the card is. Just a scrap piece of metal cut and bent then mounted to the case somehow.
