Hi!

My friend is building a new PC for max 1711 euros. He told me to write him together a system. (he lives in sweden prices are different, also higher). He will basicly only gaming and surfing on internet. The game he will play which eats most is currently BF4.

I wrote this:

CPU: AMD Fx8350

GPU: MSI R9 280X Gaming

CASE: Corsair 750D

RAM: G.skill Ripjaws Z 8 gb 1600 mhz

PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 GOLD

HDD: seagate barruca 1 tb 7200 RPM

SSD: samsung evo series 120 gb

Mobo: ASUS Sabertooth r.2.0 am3+

Optical drives: samsung SH-222BB

CPU cooler: Cooler master hyper evo( he wont OC,but still keep it on nice temps.)

So what do you think about it?

is it balanced? is all complettable?

any changes?

Since BF4 is AMD optimised, for that this build will be a good choice, of course there are things where the 4670k whips the 8350's ass, but if he is only gaming and web browsing this is great.

Go for the Asus 280X

There has been claims in which MSI's coolers are faulty and do not cool the VRM properly, letting them get to temperatures higher than 100C

The 750d is not a cheap case. I personally prefer the fractal arc midi r2 which is cheaper :)

That might help on the budget

since he isnt overclocking that board is pointless, gigabyte 990fx ud 3 or ud5 would be better, they are cheaper, in my opinion more reliable and if you have a problem that mean you need to rma you will get much better service from gigabyte.

well since this is inside the budget and he could even add one more 280x its fine. he dont want to upgrade ON a long long time, currently he have a laptop from 2007:)

And the Case is fine to it have a good price and is inside his budget, i want to pick him stuff that i know how to handle.

Becuze i am building it for him.. but he buys the parts

I would personally get the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 and get a sound card. Aswell I would prefer the Asus R9-280x over the MSI one. I just don't trust MSI. This comes from personal experience and just stuff that I read.

Aswell don't forget to grab some decent aftermarket coolers like the CoolerMaster Sickleflows.

Something like that, can get cheaper ram, sound card, PSU (if he doesn't go CF later) but it are all good quality components. Black and red color scheme. I know it is USD and not Swedish krones. But it's well in budget.
If you really want that Asus board, get some Noctua fans!
