Computer that is cheap and can handle SFM well?

AniJan

Another question I may have or may not have mentioned:

Like I said before, the PCPartPicker indicated that there was some incompatibility with the case and the video card.

Earlier you said you couldn't see the notes so here's the link:

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/xC4Xf8

Scroll down below and it'll state a section about the incompatibilities.

3 more questions:

What about the SSD?

Cooler?

I'm too unsophisticated to know if both of these are already part of build.

Other question:

This is a dumb question, but this computer can run other games very well, right? Such as Overwatch, TF2, and many more. What are it's limitations when it comes to games?

Ssd was too expensive to fit in ,  but you can add one if you like.  It just wasn't necessary .

Cooler will be the  stock cooler that comes with the cpu.

Games should run very well .  You should be able to get then to run at 1080p ultra or higher.

Doesn't include an os.  But you can get one off g2a or similar places for 15-20$

What ?

Just use another computer and burn the win10 iso to a usb drive ,  then enter the key you get when you buy a Windows license off the internet.

Huh?

  • The Fractal Design Core 1000 USB 3.0 MicroATX Mid Tower Case supports video cards up to 350mm long, but video cards over 210mm may block drive bays. Since the PowerColor Radeon RX 470 4GB Red Devil Video Card is 255mm long, some drive bays may not be usable.
  • Flag compatibility notes as incorrect

Depends on your uses ,  but id bet at least 3 years before you need to upgrade the gpu

Strange. . .  That doesn't appear on my list. . .

Ok ,  just checked.  As long as you only have one hdd mounted ,  you'll have no problem .

What if I used it, primarily for animation?

Sometimes, games.

But animation primarily.

that estimate was for triple A games . Otherwise , since SFM isn't getting any more demanding , basically as long as you want . Otherwise it depends on your animation software and workload.

So, since I won't have an SSD, what should I do with the SATA connectors and SATA Data connectors that connects to the SSD?

Do I just not use them?

They connect to your hard drive. If you have extra don't use them.

Unsure what power supply to pick?

Check out my HTPC build.

You seem unfamilar with most things people are talking about. These videos should help you out a bit.

hard drives and SSD's use the same connector . Just hook up your hdd and don't use the rest.

Also, would G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB be better than the current memory sticks?

Get whichever is cheapest.  Memory isn't nearly as important as it once was.

Found this:

A Power Color RX 480 4GB Red Dragon. Since it's a 480, it's better than the PowerColor Radeon Red Devil 470, right?

Well it's very similar except the rx 480,  but you found a cheap one too?

Otherwise the case is worse and the ram is slower.
