Maximise FPS in crysis 3

Gauzl

I have 2 watercooled gtx 680s and play on a single 1920x1080 monitor, what settings should I lower to get a smooth frame rate without sacrificing the graphic quality?

What FPS are you aiming for?

Try turning down anti-aliasing.

Or set your settings to High, then individually increase them to Ultra to hit that FPS.

Texture quality you want of course.

I've noticed there's hardly any difference at all between very high and low settings, anyone else notice this?

That's because Crysis 3 is a damn good looking game, but the difference is in the details.

Do you think the game would look better with highest AA and lowest settings or the other way around.

I think it would look best with the settings turned all the way up and the settings menu removed from the game so they can't be changed back.

But then you'd need a PC worth thousands to play the damn game.

Complicated question. Depends which feature is important for you. For me for example, AA doesn't play an important role in games. Yes, it fixes the jaggies (jagged and pixelated edges), but it also blurs whole image and I don't like blurred images. So, generally I just turn off AA in most games or leave it at 2x.

Better question, why the hell do you have SLI 680s for a single 1080 panel?

It's a 120htz monitor and both are watercooled so I get full usage out of the cards, so what does it matter?
