So I want to play BF1, and I'm getting the I-5 6500 but the recommended requirements say that you need at least the 6600k. What up w that? Will this one be good enough with the RX 480 for 1080p high settings 60 or more fps?

Actually if I might add something to this thread : I have a 4670k and CPU-Boss states it to be better than the 6600k;

So I should be fine too, but am getting only around average 45 FPs with a brand new G1 1060... ; Ram : 8 gb

Another question : Is the 6600k newer ? (I think so)

there is no reason for a 4670k to be faster than a 6600k as far as i know (unless you straight up overclock it more than the 6600k, but that wouldn't be the norm)

i5 6500 can get you 60 fps at 1080p on BF1 at any setting you want (although you're going to have to have a GPU that can keep up).

Should be overall fine I think. However it seems that in multiplayer people notice extreme high CPU usage even with current high end CPU's causing choppy gameplay. Might be driver fixed or be optimized by game patch. Am not following that since I don't play it.

But my first thought was that EA is known for screwing stuff up: in this case could be a poor implemented multiplayer experience due to extreme CPU usage. Optimization anyone? Or server issues? Don't know. However the current posts I have seen always mention multiplayer and some have said that in single player all is fine.

So ... is the 4670k fine ? ; Sorry to be so blunt, but is there a chance anybody has a performance comparison chart ?

it would depend on your definition of "fine"... if you're after 144fps in the latest and greatest of games, then you're going to be left wanting. but a 4670k is still a fine chip.

I would chalk it up to either server issues (where other players have less than ideal configs) or something that can be patched.

Well I will probably get the Asus ROG Strix RX 480 and OC it a bit. Would that be adequate?

Just gonna point out, never ever ever trust cpu boss it's a pointless site. Stick to reputable sites like anandtech, guru3d and others. Just a friendly tip :)
