My parents think the it's about time that I have my own car so they asked if I had any preference as to what car I would want. Their requirements were that it was a newer car with good safety features and that it is about $10,000 or less. After looking around for a bit I found the 2014 Corolla. From what I've read, it's a good car and is reliable but I wanted to know what you guys thought. Is there another car out there that's better than a Corolla that I should look in to?

Well, you can't really go wrong with one if that's what you were wondering. To be honest with you, I'd shop around the used car lots, make sure you don't get hassled into buying a shit car by a car dealer (pretend you know what you're doing). Make sure you get a god colour too, you don't want a Simon moment (inbetweeners).

The most recent corolla is actually good, the interior doesn't look like its from 1997. I would also recommend looking into some Korean cars, Hyundai and KIA have really stepped up their game and the Elantra also offers alot for around the same price.

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

I should have some time this weekend so I'll look around, thanks for the tips.

Buy Phil Edmonston's Lemonaid book at Chapters or Indigo. Then go look at the imports.

Then hit up the car lots and go for test drives to see which one you like.

Then search online classifieds, newspapers, visit auctions and you are set.

Used car dealers buy all their cars from auctions. Everytime I go to a certain auction, I see the same dealers. Very slick people they are.

The auction door prize of $1000 is won by the same person every week. Very slick!
