So a while back i bought a GTX 460, and it worked perfectly till it stopped working all of a sudden & figured the card was dead, the fans spin but no display. i tested another card on the same system a ati radeon hd 4670. which worked perfectly. a few weeks later i buy a 560TI. and the card has the same issue as the gtx 460, i know for sure this isn't a coincidence i need help to resolve this issue. i'm running on a Amd athlon x4 860k, motherboard is a msi a58m-e33. i have a 500 watts powersupply. and i'm using molex 4 pin to 6 pin pci power connectors. note the cards fan spins, but no display. i've tried all the ports on both cards & still no luck. yes i've tried resetting cmos, & moving the jumper. this is not a issue with the bios, since other card works perfectly.

A 4670 doesn't require external power. Since it only occurs on cards that DO need external power, there's your problem. Your adapter is probably dead as a dodo or not connected correctly. By the way, 500W doesn't say much. If it doesn't even have PCI-E connectors, it's probably ancient or very poor quality. Consider getting a proper PSU. Even a CX450M would do (NOT the 430, that one's pure anus extract).

Adapter isn't dead, because if it was the fans would be going crazy since it's running on motherboards power only, yes i've tested it before with the 460, if it not connected right the fans start going crazy, so it is not the adapter.. note the 460 ran before, so my power supply isn't the issue. @NelizMastr

I wouldn't be so sure. There is a chance it can't supply enough power. Just test with a PSU that actually has a directly attached PCI-E connector. Those molex adapters can be pretty dangerous too.

sadly, i don't have any other psu around. @NelizMastr

Then this is where the troubleshooting ends sadly. You can't know for sure what the problem is if you can't test the cards in other PC's or with another PSU without tacky adapters.

All we know now is that the HD4670 works and that the 460 and 560 are unknown with the only real factor between them that PCIE adapter.
