Also I am heding to bed so feel free to do whatever you want but I won't be replying. I am looking at Rogers Ignite 100u for new customers with 64.99$/mo 2 years

Rogers will rape you. They fucked multiple members of my family into a contract that they automatically renewed and only cancelled after we threatened to sue them for violating the original contract, lmao.

Telus has a good 150 up/down fiber plan if you live an an available area.

Unfortunately not in my area :(

But I've had like 99.99999% internet uptime the past 5 years, so it's good.

My speeds are also greater than advertised by like 10-20%

Same, I have a 50 Mbps package and I get 55-60 Mbps. My internet has never gone down unless a power outage.

Shaw is just terrible. Their lower packages for cable is just aids. I paid $60/month for channels that were mostly paid programs.

Only down side is no static IP, and ports 80 and 443 are blocked.

I guess they need a reason to charge more for the business plans :P

Ports 80 and 443 are not blocked for me, and I can get a static IP for free. :P

Currently using Teksavvy and dont really have any major complaints. I get my advertised speed of 25/10 most of the time and get 400GB of bandwith which I never go over. Prices used to be better when they were smaller but at ~$50 after taxes and a modem rental fee isn't too bad, granted that I have a few bucks off a month from their referral system that I don't think exists anymore.

Wat... Why would they block HTTP/HTTPS by default?

Because those are the ports you use to run web servers.

They want you to buy a business plan if you're doing that sort of stuff, which cost more.

That's dumb. Not every webserver is used for business.

It's an inconvenience, but I just use no-ip :)

I wonder if they block 8080? That might be another way around it.

No, they don't, that's what I'm using with noip.

Noip redirects requests from 80 and 443 to 8080 to get around the block :)
