Laptop driver hell

So I've been trying to get my mums laptop to be work ready this involved uninstalling windows 8.1 (because its 8.1) and it running very slowly and installing 7 however this process caused multiple issues mainly being that the laptop decided to remove pretty much any driver it could including wifi so I am currently running it off of ethernet I've looked on Samsungs website (the model is a RV511) and it is running a pentium P6200 the only drivers I can find are XP drivers and refuse to work with windows 7 which is even more frustrating as there is literally a windows 7 sticker on the laptop I don't really want to go through the process of reinstalling windows 7 does anyone have any insight on what I can do? Any help is appreciated.

You need to do a clean install.

Preferably windows 10 this time, since it will install drivers for you unlike 7/8.

I happened to come across that page while searching for drivers a while back however I couldn't get the drivers on that page to work most likely because the laptop I am dealing with is running a pentium P6200 and those drivers are ment for a machine running a Core I3 series chip. Thanks for the help anyways

Okay, here is the deal...  If you have a Samsung RV511-A01 then these drivers are the ones you want.  If they're not working, then you don't have that model, or your downloading drivers that don't belong for your machine (for example there are 2 different wireless cards in those strings of drivers)...

I decided to try and install one of the drivers from "http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/NP-RV511-A01US" and i'm having similar issues to the page i was using before where any useful of drivers such as wifi (the main driver I need to get working) are only listed under windows XP and having tried install one of them it wouldn't install due to incompatibilities :(

Then you're installing the wrong one.  If you want to, I can use remote desktop to help you out.

for now I think it will be easier to try and install windows 10 as the windows 7 installation this machine is running is far from clean.

That model doesn't have any Windows 10 capable drivers at all.

maybe I should setup my PC so the DVD drive is positioned in such a way that when it is opened via eject it pushes the laptop out of the window and let him remote desktop to that its a win win.
