Thats really no better if not worse than a stock cooler; Its meant specifically for small form factor scenarios. A 212 Evo is like $8 more and way better than a stock cooler.

Is the 212 EVO compatible with LGA 1551. I don't think it was mentioned as compatible in the manual.

It's barely better than the stock cooler--why not stick with that instead?

Yeah, but you can find an Intel stock cooler for $5 or so on eBay. You can also find equally cheap coolers on Newegg. Not sure if the sale's still going, but I picked up a refurbished Cooler Master cooler just like that one for $7 yesterday, with a $7 MIR (so, free). There are better deals out there.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
