1. an i5-6500 would be potentially a little better with the higher clock speed.

2. Also the H110M-A board from Asus will have slighty better features for just about the same price.

3. dual channel ram will give you a little better performance unless you plan on upgrading later.

4. Look into either the RX 480 8GB or GTX 1060 6GB. the 3GB 1060 is a slightly cut down version of the 1060 will less CUDA cores so the 6GB will perform better.

Also consider a cheap SSD to load your OS and maybe a few games onto

change the PSU otherwise thats pretty solid, would also add an SSD to that, like a 120GB also dont get the 3GB 1060, get the 6GB version

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Personally, I'd get a RX 480 4GB with a FreeSync monitor and a better quality power supply.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Agree with the option of the SSD; I don't know what games you plan on playing (but looking at those components I don't think you're really into retro-gaming).

In that case, an HDD will most probably bottleneck your system when gaming, so if you can extend a little bit your budget, buying a 120-240GB SSD for the OS and a few high requirement games would incredibly boost your gaming experience.

If you can't, there are things that can be bought later, when updating your rig, like new peripherals (monitors, mouse, keyboard...) or storage devices.
