I really want to try to build my own speakers, I may try to use a starter kfit, if someone can advise me one. But I do want to design my own! But I do have some questions, I hope someone can answer some if them.

So I want to make a 5.1 surround speaker set. That means I need 5 speakers and a subwoofer, right? And I do need to add some sort of controller, right?

If I would go and make my own speakers, I amconfused of what they have to consist of. I want them in the corners of my room, so not too big. But then I don't what they should use, a tweeter and a woofer, or a tweeter and a midrange, or something else? Can someone help me with this one?

Thanks alot in advance!

I made dis, Gaben pls

1) yes, 5 speakers 1 sub, and an AV receiver to drive them all (except the sub which should be powered)

2) tweeter+woofer, or tweeter+mid+woofer if you want it more complicated and expensive

3) dayton audio has some good kits that come with everything you need to build it.

Not sure if this fits your idea, but... Buy a (used) 5.1 or 7.1 speaker set, and use the internals...

Damn, that's a pretty good idea

It's pretty complicated with volume and resonance and ports and everything.

You should probably do several hours of research if you want to understand how to make one.

If you don't really care about the audio quality you can just copy a box design from somewhere on the internet.
