1. Budget & Location

Budget is roughly 600 GBP, can go a bit higher or lower if necessary. I'm also not building it until Feb 2017 so that might need to be taken into the equation

2. Aim

I'm looking to build a VR ready PC, I've already got a good idea of what i'd like i just need some advice on peripherals and other little things, or ways it could be stronger. I don't plan to actually run an enthusiast grade VR headset in it for like a year or so, but I've based it around Vive specs so it would be capable when it comes to it. I'm also looking for more of a minimalist/Pastel coloured build, but it's a pretty uncommon aesthetic to my knowledge so it doesn't play in too much

3. Monitors

One monitor, currently undecided but probably just a 32" 1080p TV

4. Peripherals

Keyboard and mouse yes , I'll also need a copy of windows but a friend of mine ahs one sitting around so its doesn't come into the budget

5. Why are you upgrading?

I need my own personal pc, and currently the one i'm using is archaic, so I'd rather leave it for my families use

Currently the specs I'm looking at are  http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/48j7wV , but that doesn't include any peripherals

The concept of overkill imo doesn't factor much into PSU wattage until you get really high up, since this superb quality PSU is not much more than the not-so-good (utter shit) PSUs

Supernova NEX's still are pretty bad. The 'good' supernovas are the GQ,G2 line

If you aren't building it until February just wait because amd zen and Intel kaby lake are coming out in January and cpu prices should go down.

I won't be buying parts until then so I'm open for ideas.

I'd say the best idea is wait because prices will be different then and you will have a better idea of what's the best deal. Trying to predict what will be the best deal next February isn't a good idea.

You should probably wait for Kaby Lake/Zen before he decides to make a list.
