Do I need a more powerful PSU?

hotcoolfool11

Hi guys, i have so many questions sorry ...

Specs:
i7600k @ 4.4mhz overclock
DeepCool Gammaxx 400 Cpu cooler
16GB HyperX Fury Kingston @2133mhz
MSI GAMING M5 Z170
2 x 1TB WD caviar blue
MSI r9 390 gaming 8G
Corsair 760T black
EVGA Supernova 650W Gold+

I am considering getting a Corsair h115i cpu cooler, will that also have an impact my power supply?
Do i need a new, more powerful power supply?

No  a cooler doesn't draw any power. Damn gammaxx 400 so beauty

650w will be enough for you even with a 1080

You know the fans on a cooler do draw power, right? :P Although it's only around 1-4 watts.

I think that the 1080 uses less power than the 390

I know. Power doesn't come out of no where but for that small amount of wattage I think it is safe to say they consume literally no power. Same to all the LED light

everything has some kind of an impact.... but no, probably not to any significant amount (we're talking a couple watts for an AIO CPU cooler).

What model of gold+ supernova do you have? There are some models (like the nex) which aren't all that amazing. then there is a model like the G2 which is some of the best that money can buy

A lot? Not that much, like a 980ti or less.

No? More than Nvidia, by about 40W. Not enough to worry about. Same goes for AMD CPUs, around 20-60W more.

TDP isn't power draw. It's a measure of heat produced. Even then, it shouldn't be trusted as each company measures it differently.

haha the NEX is the unit I was talking about. that being said its fine enough, but if you were planning on going for extreme overclocking it may interfere with your ability to do so (its a power regulation and quality thing, not an 80+ rating or wattage thing). And no, there is no obvious way to determine a unit's quality. You would have to consult 3rd party reviews or tier lists like this one:
