Asus pg278Q help!

Noticed my screen would flash to a black screen then come back in a split second. happens randomly. should i request a replacement from amazon? Whats the cause of this? Looks almost like my pc crashed for a split second. this vid shows the flickering but idk what it is, it doesnt look like normal screen flicker.

 

CPU: 6700K Case: Corsair Air 740 CPU Cooler: H110i GTX Storage: 2x250gb SSD 960gb SSD PSU: Corsair 1200watt GPU: EVGA 1080ti FTW3 RAM: 16gb DDR4 

Other Stuffs: Red sleeved cables, White LED lighting 2 noctua fans on cpu cooler and Be Quiet PWM fans on case.

Try doing the same on another computer, it seems to happen when you play around with programs, so it could be many things. Try to single it out to the problematic component. You could also try your computer with another monitor.

 

Edit: watched another time and... woah okay that's quite bad... I don't know but still try to single it out, check connections. If you made sure it's the monitor then sure, try your best to get it replaced because it's definetely faulty in some way (if it's the monitor that is)

 

Might be worth tweaking the monitor setting a little bit to see if it fix something. (If its the monitors fault)

I tried to fix it to no avail. Looked around and apparently its a sign that the monitor is faulty. So I decided to return it and just get another 1080 ftw instead. Every replacement I ever got from amazon with this monitor always had issues. I urge people to stay away from the asus rog swift.

If you go to Microcenter they let you test the monitor first so I picked up a PG279Q with 0% backlight. I went through about 3 but it was very nice

Quality control might be shitty but I suspect manufacturing quality is the problem... you might have the best quality control but at some point you can't remove 80% of the screens produced or else you go bankrupt lol.

 

So they just let them pass... remove the worst ones.
