External Mouse V. Trackpad

Hey Linus Tech Tips forums, I'm taking a poll. Which do you like to use for general computer use, a mouse or a trackpad. A pointing stick counts as a Trackpad and Trackball mouse counts as an external mouse. Post your preference in the comments and I will post the Results in a week on Tuesday the 18th of October. mouse, trackpads are almost always shit on the laptops i have had. not as bad as a keyboard nipple but still not good

For just watching content on my tv I use a wireless keyboard with a track pad but to do anything else mouse. Would use a mouse for my tv but haveing surfaces that the mouse works on is an issue

This pretty much laptop vs desktop then.

 

Two completely seperate ways to complete the same function with an optical or laser (or old mouse with the ball on the bottom) mouse you have to move the entire mouse, with a trackball the mouse sits in a static position, and you spin the ball.

I think you should use the four types instead since the vagueness leaves a lot to the reader.

I meant the Kensington Expert Mouse. I have one but haven't seen any others since.
