Compatibility/Suggestions

Looking to build my first Desktop. most of these parts I want, but other suggestions welcome. Checking for compatibility, other unknown parts gems, and looking for advice.

 

1. Budget & Location

US, 600-650 (tax needs to be included)

 

i3 6100 - $109

ASUS B150 Pro Gaming/Aura - $57.99 (after rebate, discounts) (prefer an ATX (not micro) mobo) EDITED (from suggestion)

ASUS ROG Strix Rx 460 OC Ed. - $129.99

EVGA 600 B1 80+ Bronze - $49.99

G Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 3000mHz (2x8GB) - $84.98

Corsair Carbide 100R - $49.99

(Cannibalizing ssd from laptop, have hard drive) 

(all w/o tax) - $481.94

 

2. Aim

Web browsing, MS Office Suite, gaming such as Xplane 10 & fps like Sniper Elite 3. 

 

3. Monitors

1 at 1080p don't have one yet, thinking of an Acer, suggestions welcome

 

4. Peripherals

Can I use 64bit Win 10 from laptop? No need for mice/keyboard

 

5. Why are you upgrading?

Upgrading from i5 4200u laptop, want better graphics performance, and don't need laptop form factor. Plan on upgrading GPU & CPU as the money comes/as needed.

Id get a cheaper b150 board, no reason to get a high end board.

 

You need to buy anouther copy of windows.

Heard you could OC the i3 with a z170, is it worth it?

The only way to oc it would be with the base clock and you don't need z170, only modded bios on certian board. Its not support and i wouldn't do it.
