7.1 Audio comparison

I want to ask if 7.1 on usb is any different sounding to 7.1 that comes through the 3/4 pole connectors like on the Hyperx Cloud 2.

Its abou the same quality wise.

The HyperX Cloud 2 has a USB soundcard that gives it the 7.1 feature.

Yes but does it sound any different to 7.1 over usb like razer kraken 7.1 chroma?

Yes i think every company uses a different implementation if not specifically stated like "Dolby Headphones" or "DTS Headphone X".

The HyperX Cloud 2 will sound more balanced though with less emphasize on bass.
