depends on your current CPU and motherboard hardware but whats probably best is selling the 770 and getting a 1070 or 1060

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

what would i need cpu and motherboard wise? or how would i find out ?

well if you want to SLI now you need to have a motherboard that supports SLI and a PSU that can handle the load and if you want to upgrade then you want to have minimal bottlenecking, so no like FX 6300 or whatever, for the 1070 not to be bottlenecked you aparently need a I7 6700K :/ anyway if you post your budget, your specs and what you want to do im sure people will tell you how to spend your money in the best way :)
