I saw this article on the ROG site that says that if you have a VG248QE it's upgradeable

I'm stoked about this since I have a GTX 680 and a VG248QE monitor. Also I've noticed with this monitor I can turn off V-Sync and I don't have any tarring in my games at all and it's so much more responsive than my old monitor.

Yes Nvidia have partnered with many great PC vendors like Asus, BenQ and Phillips etc, but you'll still need to pay a amount upgrading...to a TN Panel no IPS VA OR PLS..... personally its great and if you can upgrade to getting a g-sync monitor should be a great performer although you'll lose feature that your current monitor has like tilting, rotation, not sure about other features
