I've heard that I can use alcohol for taking out the bending-hardline-tubing insert because it makes it slippery enough and evaporates fast too... so I did, and we'll yeah it worked... idk why I'm asking, but is alcohol bad for PETG tubing?

It's not recommended as PETG is not a very chemically resistant plastic, if you notice it going cloudy or distort the light through the wall of the tubing then it would be etching the top layer or plastic.

Duly noted, so what would you recommend?

If it's very stubborn you can you compressed air to try and blow in one end to give it a nudge out the other but usually they inserts are a little loose and should slide out with a good tug.

Personally I use olive oil on the tube before insertion. Works a charm, and washes off easily afterwards with some washing liquid sloshed about, then a rinse with distilled.

I was always able to remove them by putting a drop of light dish soap in the petg and then running a bit of water between the tube and the cord.  Usually slips right out, even with multiple, tight bends in the tube

Please, please... do not use alcohol on these acrylic/petg based components such as Res's, pump tops, plexi waterblocks, etc! I've made that mistake before with a supremacy EVO, not a good choice! it fogs up, cracks, etc. for petg tubing, it is a very flexible material, when I need to remove the bending insert, I just pull very hard and it will come out without damaging the tube. you can also use some oil such as olive oil, it helsp, but stay away from alcohol!

Thanks! I'm going to use olive oil when I have to, and I made a makeshift cleaner to pull through the tube when water won't take way the oil. Next time I'll try to move the insert for each bend I make
