I am familiar with heating and bending, but is there a guide or tips anywhere on how to get precise bends in an exact spot? For example, coming up, back and across at a right angle with the same tube, therefore having to be near millimetre accurate for that second bend. How do you do that?

Using hardline bending kits would be a good start if you wanted extremely high precision you can make a jig with stop blocks in conjunction with a bending kit to ensure both extreme ends of the tubing are exactly at 90 degrees.

Use a bending kit for the right size of tubing and use a calculator to do some math.

You take a tape measure (or a measuring tool of your choice) and you make accurate measurements. You then grab a pencil and paper and do accurate maths/diagrams you feel you need to do. you then get a bending kit and apply the bends with the results of whatever your accurate maths showed. you then have milimetre accurate bends anywhere you want.

A lot of guys try to just eyeball it and the more seasoned veterans can actually do that quite well. But if you want extreme precision you need to use math... that is literally why it was invented =)

Ok I get some maths will be involved... I'm just trying to determine where I measure to and where I mark up... for example do you come out from the centre point of the fixing you're aiming at from the turn, and bend at that point on the tube, or do you start bending 1cm back, or forward, or is there another technique here to ensure you start bending the tube at exactly the right point?

Most do it via trial and error but if you want highly precise lengths between two bends as said making a jig for you to precisely measure out the distances would be your best option.
