Yes, I know it's not much of an upgrade, but it's enough for what I need it for(light game development and light game playing). I don't have a large budget, but I believe it's probably going to come from ebay anyways :P Any thoughts?

Not necessarily, it's only a two core un-overclockable processor, and the two-core part really gets beat the hell up.

bro, do u even computer?

OP, anything in the Q9xxx series or, if you're lucky, QX9xxx (without way overpaying) will still hold its own with anything up to (and possibly including) an RX 480 or GTX 1060.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Well, I was on the trail that he'd be a troll, but I'd rather be nice. :)

idk what capcom is saying but listen to @aisle9 he is correct.

This is my opinion, it doesn't mean I'm right and is liable to change at any time. I may offend of which I apologize in advance.

Yeah that's not bad, when I was running a q9550 it ran GTA V okay at stock speeds, around 40 fps in the city if I remember correctly, so if you are wanting to play that there ya go. With some overclocking it will do much better.

E8400 is also a 45nm chip, you should be just fine with your current motherboard.

Nice man, also, what cooling do you have, not that it should be much of a problem because I run my q6600 with a core 2 duo stock heatsink, but just wondering,

It's a beefier one, not as bad as the stock ones now adays, maybe twice as tall.
