My friend asked me to help build a pc for him. So i went and found all the parts I would recommend. (for the money he are willing to spend)

I just want to be sure thats its gonna work perfectly when i assemble it.

If you have any suggestions that you think will be better for the same pricepoint I would be happy to hear them

and it is a gamer pc.

I found:

Intel Core i5-6600K Skylake

Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4-2133 16GB

Kingston SSDNow UV400 SSD - 240GB

MSI B150 GAMING M3 Motherboard - Intel B150 - Intel LGA1151

MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X

Corsair CX650M

DeepCool GENOME

It works, but if you're getting a K series CPU, then you should also get a Z170 board.

What's the total budget and does that budget include an OS, monitor, keyboard/mouse, speakers, etc...? And what's the location.

The budget is around 10000 Danish kroner and thats around 1545 USD. but components seem to be a little more exspensive in my country.

The budget only covers the pc.

And thank you. ill go look at the z170!

what cpu cooler are you planning on getting as the 6600K doesn't come with a cpu cooler.

Okay....so since pricing probably varies widly, I'll just suggest general parts.

  • 6600k (or a 6700k)
  • Cryorig H7, BeQuiet Pure Rock, Cooler Master Hyper 212 (decent-budget coolers)
  • Any Z170 motherboard (from Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, Asrock, or EVGA)
  • 16gb DDR4 (the cheapest you can find from a known company, if there is a faster kit -- for a dollar or two more, then go for that one).
  • Basically any 120/250gb SSD (Adata, Samsung, Intel, Trion, Mushkin, Corsair)
  • a 1tb HDD (WD Blue, Seagate Barracuda, Hitachi Deskstar)
  • Basically any aftermarket 1070 (they'll all perform similarly, fan noise will be the biggest difference)
  • Any case you want
  • Any PSU >=400w from Tier 1-3 on the PSU Tier list in my signature (ideally from Tier 1-2)

Would go with a corsair RM i or x series instead of the CX. Other then the already mentioned Z170 mobo seems good to go. Not sure if pricing is much difference but could also look at a samsung 750 series SSD instead that might save some money but think they are similar. The 750 performs better though..
