i7 4790k Suggestions On Possible Future Upgrade

Hi, my rig consists of an i7 4790k, 32gb ram, 950 pro nvme 512gb, 2 1tb hdd and 1 6tb hdd, GTX 1080 EVGA, Lepa maxbron 1000w. I need help on what I should do as my rig is constantly using 70% ram and 50-80% CPU at all times due to all the stuff I have running (Minecraft server, league client, battle.net client, some video encoding/rendering, and 75+ chrome tabs). Sometimes when I play a game say overwatch, I would get a decrease in FPS. So what should I do? Get a last gen 6 DDR3 CPU and OC it or get the 6700K and oc that. Also running 3 1080p and 1 4k tv as a monitor. Thanks!

Check for temps. Could be throttling

 

How did you open 75 tabs though? 

 

50%is not that bad

80 is fine when you have loads of stuff running

Major suggestions:

1. Switch your Minecraft server to a dedicated server or VPS. Get one from OVH and get DDoS protection.
2. Quit opening so many fucking chrome tabs, 75 is just retarded in any situation

If you find yourself needing more out of your PC (ps, you don't right now) than the cheapest option is to buy an all in one cpu water cooler and overclock your cpu. Also you could get higher clocked ram.

a lot of people like to multitask. I like to run Skype, Eclipse, Netbeans, Minecraft, and Chrome (YouTube, a few forums, Netflix, etc). Idk about games, but yeah.

Okay, I come back from dinner and get 14 replies lol. Okay for the chrome tab thing, I have a total of 75+ but I have them assorted into categories, like 20 youtube channel tabs are on 1 windows, a few more for diy, another 10 tabs for games, about 15 for researching, ect. I can see everything its just categorized so I can see the tabs lol. I also have a refresher that refreshes the channels I watch every 10m so when I decide to hop on, I can catch the latest episodes. I am subbed to all of them but sometimes I dont see the new videos so I find this better. For the clients like league, battle.net, and other games. I'm just too lazy to sign back in and all my passwords are on lastpass (Ty linus) and they are annoying to put in. For minecraft I ment the client not a server, I just have it running in the background and when I decide to play on a server I can. So yeah, would getting a 6 core cpu and saving the 32gb of ram and getting 48gb be better? Also my i7 4790k isnt throttling, running nice and cool at 5GHz with an x61 kraken <3

That's fine.... I just don't get why someone would need to multitask between games lmao

I have spotify, youtube, LTT forums, PhantomPilots forums, code editors, and Steam open, but never more than 1 game. Sometimes Photoshop and Lightroom too.
