Is the GTX 1070 compatible with the MSI Z97-G45 motherboard??

Cause im planning to buy a new GPU since my old GTX 970 is dying.... I'll hope its compatible cause I only have money for a new GPU and not for a total new computer.

Just in case u guys ask for specs:

CPU: i7 4790K 4,0Ghz
GPU: GTX 970 4GB VRAM
Motherboard: MSI Z97 G45
RAM: 16GB RAM
Kingston Harddrive 1TB
Samsung 256GB

as long the gpu runs on pci-e slot (99.99999999999999999999999999% of gpus do) and as long as your motherboard has a pci-e slot ( which it does as you were running a 970 in it) you're all good
