Is this SSD any good?

joser1813

Hello,

I want to know someones opinion about this SSD (the 120 GB one) from Zotac

https://www.zotac.com/us/product/ssd/all

It would be for the OS

I do not have tons of money to spend in a super SSD, so I was thinking about this one. I am from Costa Rica, so shopping on Amazon is not that cheap. I can buy that SSD for a decent amount of money but I want to know if its worth it

Thanks

go for a 240gb SSD minimum, otherwise really any SSD is fine, aside from Kingston SSDs

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

240GB rarely cost significanly more than a 120GB, so usually it's worth grabbing the 240 just for some extra clearance if the price between them is small enough.

The difference is about 30 USD, so I think 120GB is fine..

So not alot, but it's up to you if it's worth it or not.

I personally went with a 240.

You will run out of space so quickly with 120gb, and an SSD slows down as it reaches it's capacity

240gb is usually the sweet spot for $ per GB

Completely agree but the slowdown is tiny, my 120 has 10gb ish left and still does roughly 300/300 but really comes down to op's budget

The point in this case would really just be having the SSD for the OS and its main applications. So the 120GB is fine, you can probably fit 1 or 2 of your most played games on it too.
