You should get a better gpu before you spend 500 on a monitor

I think OP should get a 106 or 1070, if he gets such an expensive monitor why not pair it with a gpu that can even reach 144hz so you notice the difference. 1060 is 1080p card 1070 is 1440p card OP.

Much, you won't regret it, the 1070 is a beast of a card. Can even do some light 4k gaming. It'll fit nicely with a 1440p monitor, like the one I posted or maybe some others. Just go to the monitor section of PCPP and fine tune the search results to your needs and find one. :)

I would stick to non curved but thats just me, they cost more and deliver less, that one is 4ms and 100hz, for that price you should just get yourself a nice non curved ips 144hz 1ms or even if not IPS TN panels can be good. If you really want to use this monitor for gaming thats your best bet, curved are nice but are mostly for media and stuff, same as ultra wide monitors, best for content creation.

These are the top 2 rated monitors for 1440p 1ms 144hz on pcpp's list. http://pcpartpicker.com/product/BcTrxr/dell-monitor-s2716dg

and http://pcpartpicker.com/product/zj8Zxr/asus-monitor-90lm00u0b01370

If you don't care for 1440p you can back down to a GTX 1060 and get a 1080P monitor with the same response and refresh. As I said in above post no you dont need 100hz or 1ms but why pay 1200$ for a monitor that doesn't? For media. That one you listed looks perfect for netflix and chillin'

Don't 100% choose that monitor that was just one I found look up reviews and ask around, go to the peripherals sub topic on these forums and ask, also look up reviews on youtube and stuff, the 2 I linked are both good but there could be a better price to performance one.
