That laptop normally costs twice as much, so I would take it with a grain of salt. However, since it's Amazon, you might not have a hard time returning it in case it is in fact a scam. That, and the laptop is also used.

Can't see how it could be legit. Something like a demo unit could easily be opened+actually like new, but the're like 5% off, not 50%. I'd say this is at least stolen if not worse.

DO *NOT* BUY USED ASUS LAPTOPS. EVER. EVEN IF IT'S $300.

 

ASUS laptops often have problems with them due to terrible QA and QC, and RMA is literal hell with them. They were probably returned for problems and are being sold cheap because they can't otherwise go, or the person is probably willing to cut their losses. I would stay miles away from it.
