Is this a bad idea?

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i (Looks like a good low profile cooler)

Just use the stock cooler. The cpu will be almost silent on the stock cooler.

Just chuck in in the case, you don't need them screwed in.

will this cause a problem being in such a tight environment?

Should be fine.

PSU be facing up or down?

Facing up.

Would an AiO be better for the CPU?

Just have a 120 or 140 in the front and you should be fine.

CPU: i5-6500 (I'm not gonna OC so there's really no reason to get a 6600K)

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i (Looks like a good low profile cooler)

Motherboard: MSI H170I Pro AC (Again, not gonna OC. No reason for a Z170)

Memory: Kingston HperX DDR4-2133 2x4GB (I currently have 8GB and it's been more than enough for me so far. I can always upgrade further down the road)

Storage: 1 Crucial 240GB SSD, 1 PNY 120 GB SSD (I already own both of these)

Video Card: MSI R9 380 4GB (Already own it)

Case: Silverstone SG13 (I like the small and compact figure of this build. More about how I'll fit the PSU and GPU below)

PSU: EVGA 750w G2 (Again, already own it)

Ok, so here's the plan. if I remove the top bracket in the SG13, I should be able to fit the PSU fairly comfortably, however this will cause a problem since I have two SSDs and there's only one SSD mount on the floor, but I figured I could use some velcro to stack them? Second, the GPU.. I've seen some videos where they have been able to fit the MSI GTX 970, which is 10.59in so I'm pretty sure my R9 380, which is 10.55, should fit also.

Now, here's my question. My 380 is pretty hot, will this cause a problem being in such a tight environment? and what would be the best cooling option? Should the PSU be facing up or down? Would an AiO be better for the CPU?

Or is this a really bad idea and I should just forget it and move on?

I don't think a AIO would fit in the system enclosure... If you can spare the space I would go with a bigger case, but that's just my opinion.

Well, the point is to be small. As small as possible while still being able to use my PSU and GPU. Those are the two most expensive parts in my current system and I don't want to have replace either one if it's possible.

Ok, I had assumed the stock cooler would be noisy as hell. I've only used AMD stuff in the past, LOL

Thanks for your post.

Oh, should that be intake or exhaust?
