Cpu idle worries!

So yeah, my i5 6600k idles at about 15 - 50 % use! Whats going on?

Looks pretty normal, can you catch it at 50% and see which processes are causing it?

 

Maybe it spikes when you open task manager?

i agree, @Chewique try moving to skype web if you use skype and firefox together alot

That's normal because you have a bunch of stuff open....  

If you want less CPU usage turn off some of the useless stuff like whatever that razer process is, firefox, etc...

The picture looks normal, the background processes are always running so it's not really unusual to see.

 

That's why I was asking about the 50%, that number is high for just background processes.

That's normal, if you want lower idle %, buy dual xeons 8c/8t.
