Price/performance is the rx480 especially with vulcan and directx 12 :)

especially when you take the fact that 4gb rx 480 is around 200$ and the 1060 6gb is around 260-280

and they perform almost the same :)

Simply because it's better for now.

DX12 and Vulkan is still in their early days.

The 1060 3gb is supposed to be priced to compete with the 480 4gb. The 1060 6gb goes against the 480 8gb. If you're in Europe your cheaper bet is the 1060 because the prices are screwed up over there. But overall the 480 8GB is the better card since dx12/vulkan favor it and devs are getting into it more (especially in a game like Battlefield 1).

If your monitor is 1080p 60hz you won't need more than a 4gb model though. It's not like VRAM will give you extra frames or anything.

it is but he is askin about price and performace. The 1060 6gb for 1080p is like 5-10% better and when it comes to vulkan and DX12 sometimes its even worse. Since it costs 260-280 and the rx480 costs around 200$ thats more thans almost 30% more than the rx480.

So price/performance the RX 480 4gb wins for 1080p

I would get the RX 480 then.

100%.  I've had the chance to review both of those cards, and at that price the RX 480 is the clear winner.  The FPS difference is going to be minimal (1-5), still likely over 60, in most games at this point with the added advantage of better DX 12 and Vulkan down the line. The 1060 has the upper hand in many games at this point, but not to the tune of a 70 dollar advantage.

I did say in almost every situation :)

Yeah, but the 1060 is also a lot more expensive in where the OP lives. It is 270 euro vs 336 euro.

If you take price difference in to consideration. The result may not be so clear cut.
