New 5k NZD Build

Inrix

So, I'm planning on doing a 5k NZD build soon... Was curious what people would recommend.

Will be used mainly for gaming, with a decent amount of programming and other work and possibly some content creation...

Few Important things:

- Not go over 5000 NZD

- Parts need to be available on this site: nz.pcpartpicker.com

- Must Include a Monitor (Min 2k Preferably)

- CPU Must Be 6700k

- Be Ready for SLI, But please don't have 2 GPU's

- I only need and want 16GB of ram, but having expandability to 32 is a must.

- Only needs a 256/512GB High Speed SSD and nothing else (Preferably a 256 high speed m.2, and not PCI as that uses lanes from the cpu)

- For case if you can be bothered recommend something sexy ;P

Interested in seeing what ppl come up with xD...

Also forgot to mention that using this is super useful aswell... http://pricespy.co.nz/ <= Probably even better... Just noted PCPartpicker as its generally requested here

NVMe m.2 SSDs uses PCIe lanes from the CPU so...it doesn't really matter whether you go with a m.2 or PCIe SSD :P

Those prices xD NZ$1.2K for a 1080...although it's about the same price once converted (to Euros or Brexit money), it looks so much higher...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Most Motherboards or cpu's (Cant remember) come with 4x lanes dedicated for storage... Did a buncha research into it a bit ago to be sure.

Video editing? You would benefit from X99.

Possibly, but I wouldn't be doing enough for it to be worth it, and Ill also be doing alot of single core intensive stuff, so the 6700k would benefit me more in that regard.

The 6700K will be like 1% faster when the 6800 is overclocked.

Actually, you're correct, I keep on forgetting Z170 has like 20 PCIe 3.0 chipset lanes for USB, SATA, LAN ect. (and m.2 NVMe drives) :P

While for X99 if I remember correctly, even with m.2 SSDs, they're still using CPU lanes...not like it's 28/40 lanes (compared to 16) compensates for that...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...
