Hi all,

Just have a couple questions here so without further do let's start.

1. Forgetting the cost, is liquid cooling really worth it? I mean like I really don't want water or the liquid thing in the cooler to go on my motherboard or even my GPU. Is there a big chance that this would happen or?

2. Now regarding the cost, is liquid cooling worth it. In ratio with the wind cooling (or whatever it's named) does it outwight it in tempartures? I mean like, is the price per tempartures better on the liquid?

Thanks in advanced!

Pure water that is inside of water cooling system is not electrically conductive.  (Yes, really, pure water, like, laboratory grade distilled water, can't conduct electricity)

Does that mean that is the liquid goes on another part of the PC, the part won't stop/break?

It will eventually if you don't clean it up.

Liquid cooling isn't as cost-effective as air cooling, and is more prone to failure (though it is still very uncommon in most AIOs). If it does leak, it absolutely can damage components. Pure water doesn't stay pure for long, and quickly picks up electrons.

Basically, while liquid cooling has more potential for cooling than air cooling, it's really mostly for aesthetics. Personally, I think I prefer air cooling but if aesthetics and more RAM clearance is your thing then go for it.

Yup.  If you took that kind of water, you could pour it over your PC as it runs or dip your phone into it.  Nothing would happen.

The reason 'water' short things out is because it's not just water.  Tap water or bottled water is -mostly- water with a range of trace minerals mixed in such as sodium and others, these give water some conductivity and allows it to damage electronics.  This laboratory grade water is the kind that's used as the coolent in water cooled systems.  There are OTHER liquids that can be used but they are normally seen in more custom built solutions and are generally nonconductive as well.

okay well i must ask first, are you talking like a whole custom loop, or just an AIO CPU cooler,

Awesome and if you would estimate...from 100 people how many would have their AIO leaked if they are careful with their system? Also can AIO systems last long, I mean I probably want mine to last 5 years or so. Do these coolers last more then air?

Probably zero.  There's little reason for an AIO to leak unless someone did something to cause damage to it.  It's all thick hose and good plumbing, if it's going to leak, it's going to come out of the box wet.  The pump failing is the most common failure since it's the only moving part in a cooler like that (Excluding the fans).  This can be a much harder to detect as the system will often report that the pump is still working at full speed even if it's not moving water.

AIO CPU cooler

okay if its just then the main reason one would get that is,

if a big air cooler cant fit becase of the RAM position on your board so the cooler wont fit. then AIO is really your only option, you can spend like $80 and get a cooler that will cool the same as a bigger air cooler, or you can spend $100+ and get one that can cool better.

if you just want it to look better if you case has a side panel,

if you want to push the limit with your OC then its worth it (eh kinda becase big air coolers can do good OC)

now on to can it damage your parts, well yes, say you have a leak and dont notice it then overnight it could ruin components the water gets on.

the price per cooling might not be as good and depend on if you win the silicon lottery or not water cooling can be a waste, for overclocking that it

honestly id think a air cooler would last longer just becase its all metal and does not have parts the can bend or wear down over time like the plastic of the tubes on a AIO. but i have no idea, AIO are more prone to failure tho

but yes it can last years and years

So for me, I'm not really a big over locker but I like how my PC looks. Do you recommend me to get a AIO or air cooler?

if you wont oc id say get a 212 evo and thats all you need.

or even if its a small oc a 212 evo is fine, i got my i5 up to 4.5 on my evo

and the evo is only $20-$30
