PhysX

Go to solution Solved by Godlygamer23,

Leave it at Auto-Select. The advantage is that the GPU can handle it much better, thus giving better performance, and you will also receive Advanced PhysX. If PhysX is thrown on the CPU, it'll be normal PhysX, and won't be quite as visually appealing or crazy.

Hello!

I am using a GTX 1070, and looking in the NVIDIA Control Panel. In the PhysX tab I have the following options:

Auto-Select (set to)

GPU
CPU

Which one should I put it at, or should I leave it at auto-select? What are the differences if GPU handles the PhysX over the CPU, or vice versa? Thanks

Main:  1650 v2   @ 4,6GHz   -   X79 Deluxe                -   GTX 1080 @ 2000MHz   -   24GB DDR3 @ 2400MHz / CL10

Side:   i7-4790K @ 4,5GHz   -   Maximus 7 Hero        -   GTX 1070 @ 2114MHz    -  16GB DDR3 @ 2666MHz / CL12

So why not just set it to GPU over Auto then?

It'll change back to Auto upon updating the drivers if I remember correctly. So if you're cool with that, go ahead and set it to GPU exclusively.
