Aww, that's really terrible, and quite a waste of a good card. These kinds of things worry me if I want to sell my stuff online.

Working in retail I have learned people will scam if they get the chance.

Example, Our stores don't have activated chip readers yet and we have a few thousand dollars of charge backs every week. Just cause if its not done with the chip the CC company's will refund no questions asked.

People suck, and unlike lemons you cant turn bad people into anything. Well other then Soilent Green.

You should have seen the flawless Maximus board I went to buy. They must have spilled the coolant all over it, covered with dog hair and dirt. 10 or so pins missing or bent. Didn't come with anything. Never seen such a nice piece of hardware treated so bad.

I was trying to sell a Quadro K4000 for $200 a couple of months ago in Mercado Libre (basically Mexican Craigslist). There were people dumb enough to offer me to trade it for a gtx 750 (non ti). Some other dude wanted it for $100, other guy told me that he'd give me $50 and a Sony car subwoofer (which was actually a knockoff). Then some girl offered $170 and an old 17'' monitor, which gladly accepted, but then I never heard from her again.

After all of these incidents, I lost faith in humanity and decided to keep the GPU I won't ever use. Maybe I'll use it as a dedicated PhysX processor...

I never mix those two for the very situation you described. Whenever I sell, it's cash or screw off. I can verify the equipment works with you, I can help you diagnose your hardware, but I'm not going to give you an opening to steal money from me.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

Did you ship the motherboard out without payment, or?

When selling on eBay, you never ship without payment. In fact, if they don't submit payment within (7 days I believe?) you can cancel the transaction and relist the item for free.

Unfortunately it's a fairly common rookie mistake.
