Headset help

I am in need of a new headset as on my second pair of steelseries siberia's in the past 2 years and they've just broken again. I know you suggest headphones + Mic but i can't do that. I tried it with my original siberia's that had a clip mic, it was simply horribly annoying. That and my nephew will probably take the mic and break it

 

My budget is ~£80 (would go up to £100 if extremely good/recommended by a few). Mainly for Gaming(csgo)/Voip/music/films and tv shows . In that order.

 

I've been looking at :

 

Qpad qh-90

Razer kraken 7.1 (is a retractable mic more likely to break if you constantly hide/pull it out?) or the normal ones

Steelseries 7h

 

Edit - Asus orion pro (Apparently bad microphone on most reviews)

 

Not wireless!! I use them way too much to keep charging/changing batteries.

 

Any information on the above or even recommendations would be great.

Plantronics 380 + a xonar DGX or DG, comfortable ,decent sound, great mic.

I see no valid reason to getting anything else (headset wise) unless there is a specific thing you want on a more expensive headset.

Virtual 7.1 surround is a gimmick.

and these vmodas go on sale from time to time. you'll be able to get a headset integration for about a hundred if you wait for a sale

V-moda's are a no go. Im in the UK , just read a review and it sounds expensive as hell if i ever need to RMA.

Looking at the rog's will add them to the list.

Really havn't had good experience/quality with clip on mic's guys. Unless it's like the v-moda's or the qpad 90's

They're a headset. We don't like headsets.

 

V-moda's are a no go. Im in the UK , just read a review and it sounds expensive as hell if i ever need to RMA.

 

If they're broken within a month or so, can't you just get a replacement from the store? They're some of the most sturdy headphones so it's not like you'll be RMA'ing them even with rough-ish use if manufacturing defects don't pop up soon after purchase.

Well, i've narrowed it down to the orion pro's or the qpad 90's.

I came here because its the best place i know to go for help on audio things. Sure you dont like them, but you must know things about them.
