Comeback: what to play?

It's been years since I played new PC games (okay, just the ones that require just a bit), and early next month I'll finally own a good PC! Wooo!

 

So what do you recommend me? I enjoy most of genres, but I think I'd prefer racing (any) or multiplayer (I'd prefer local).

You should really try Far Cry 3 (4 is quite similar but I enjoyed 3 much more to be honest) 
Crysis 1-3 
For multiplayer can't go wrong with LoL/Dota (though they're not demaning, can play those on a potato)

You should really play The Witcher 3, one of the best games I've ever played.

Keep an eye out for sales in Steam and try out some cheap games. This week a lot of Warner Bros games are on sale, might be worth checking out !

BeamNG is good for driving, but not so much racing, as it's not multiplayer other than hotseat demolition derbys.

Saints Row 2 (see link in my sig); it's got the right features to make GTA V look simple. I think you should be able to do LAN parties with this game, but no one really wants to run it on PC let alone console (the latter which it is much better optimised for).

 

If you want to fall in love with racing again, install GTA V with mods if you want realistic car physics with the added possibility of death. The lack of "death" in racing/driving sims make them feel sterile, and crashing your car only makes your car more difficult to drive as you damage components, which is just frustrating to me.
