Replacing ms28 xbox 360 dvd drive with ms25.Is it possible?

i have a xbox 360 with a toshiba samsung drive (ms28) and recently it stopped working.the warranty period of my xbox is over so i have to fix it myself.im planning to buy a ms25 drive and swap the circuit board of my ms28 to it.will this work?Please help

I have tried doing circuit board swaps with 360's before and it didnt work. I could of just done it wrong or something but drive and everything worked it just would not play the games.
