2x nvme ssd raid 0

So i want to get another 950 pro to raid 0. My question is where do i slot in the new 950 pro with pcie adapter without effecting my gpu lane. i have 2 fury x in slot 1 and 3. (based on 4 red slot). My question is where do i put this ssd without effecting my x16 and x16 lane for my gpu. Based on my simple mind i was thinking i should have 4 lanes free out of the 40 lanes. Plugging it into the wrong slot probably will cause the 2nd gpu to x8.  Btw cpu is 6850k. Probably going to do some

You could just as well burn the money you'd spend on the second SSD, the speed increase won't be noticeable in daily use applications and RAID0 is really dangerous unless you want to back up your data daily or more frequently. Even if the board would support RAID with PCIe adapter card.

 

As for your question, running graphics cards at x8 speeds will not yield noticeable (if any) performance issues.

What motherboard do you have? Then we can look at the PCI Express lane configuration.
