Anyone else feel....incredibly disappointed in the gameplay? I cannot believe I'm saying this, but I'd rather play even UT3. 

I hopped on, won a few matches, and asked people what they felt about the gun play. I felt everything was nerfed, but the flak cannon was nerfed the least, therefore when I picked it up I dominted. 

I didn't feel like skill made me win at all. 

And some guns are useless, the enforcer is a cone of fire. A cone. 

Overall it felt slow and weak. 

I don't know...it's really sad to me, I love UT.

Anyone else's thoughts?

i haven't touched it yet, was waiting to at least reach a beta state but i'm kinda surprised about your saying considering (AFAIK) the developers are pretty much doing what the community agrees with.

When it comes to UT im only interested in instagib. There's next to no servers for it and the ones there are rarely have players in them. I've played a few maps and it was just boring to me. The maps are boring, the gameplay is boring and the sound is boring.

 

But its (pre-)alpha so hopefully this will change. I will keep an eye on it but so far i'm not even a little exicted about it anymore.

I haven't played it in few months, and then it was ok. Just that. The thing is, there are not that many finished maps and the weapons are kind of weird but it's still in pre-alpha so I'm expecting a lot of things to be improved. 

Also I think UT3 is the best one, better than UT99.:ph34r:

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.
