just gonna add these here:

- either get a K cpu, or a H or B chipset motherboard, non-K cpu on Z chipset is kind of a waste of money.

- check if a single 8GB stick of ram is cheaper, especially if you are considering upgrading to 16GB in the (near) future.

- 120GB SSD is kind of a waste, for about 30% more money you can get a 240GB SSD, which is MUCH better in terms of storage space, 120GB actually becomes cramped surprisingly quickly

- there's better power supplies to buy than corsair CS

Ok probably the most stupid question.
Why the 6400 or 6500 rather than the 6600 with that board?

i actually have no idea why he said that, because ur using a z170 board which supports over clocking and your cpu was non k. so it was a waste of a motherboard

6600 is fine. the 200mHz more freq wont make so much different. I'd say 6500 is the best cost/performance ratio. Plus, you choose is unoverclockable CPU with a z170 chipset mobo that is suppose to used for OC, so thats a bad combo.

Go for 2*8Gb ram, if ur budget allow it i think. and more SSD space. I would prior SSD space b4 ram size.

CPU is Non K. A K in the CPU means that it is overclockable. Like the i5-6600k, or i7-6700k. Although there are non-K versions of 6600 and 6700.

non-K CPU = H110, B150, H170 motherboards

K- CPU = Z170, X99 motherboards

Best for first time builders are H110M or B150M depending on which features you need. Ideally you should get the cheapest motherboard, and throw money left for the GPU.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600k 4.4GHz | Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z270F Gaming | Cooler: Cryorig H7 | RAM: GSkill Ripjaws V 8GB 2x4 3200 MHz | GPU: MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X | PSU: Seasonic G-550w 80+ Gold Certified, Semi Modular | Storage: 250GB Samsung 850 EVO, 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue | Case: NZXT S340 Elite (Black/Red) | Monitor: BenQ XL2411 144hz | Keyboard: Corsair STRAFE RGB Cherry MX Silent | Mouse: Corsair M65 Pro RGB

I'd like to make a Chemistry joke, but all the good ones ARGON. *nudgenudge *winkwink

First of all thank you for the answers.
So if i understand correctly for any cpu non-K of the 6 gen, i should choose a another mobo.
Given that i don't want to overclock my cpu, and in te near future i would like to set a double gpu overclock what type of board should i choose?

Crucial has a 275GB SSD For @68.99, that will be a better deal than a 120GB 850 Evo.
