Is this CPU actually good?

So I got this motherboard for a really budget build I'm planning.  Anyways, the seller threw in a free Intel Pentium G6950 (socket is LGA1156).

Anyways, I wanted to know if this Pentium is worth keeping?  I was thinking I'd sell it on eBay, but it's only worth like $5 and not worth the PayPal or seller's fees.  I called my job to see if they'd buy it off of me, they said they'd only do in store trades, and it's not worth enough to do that either.

So should I keep it to do a build?  Take it to be recycled?  Or the more fun option of making a keychain out of it?

Or any other suggestions I should do with it?

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

Id keep it, see how it does. If your cpu limited, then get a faster cpu(look at a i7 870)

That cpu is a amazing overclocker, so if you do not have the extra money for a cpu, you can use this

I do have another CPU, I got a Core i5 760 from my job for like $35 awhile back.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, I'd borrow a drill from my roommate or something.

As long as you are interested in that socket, it can be useful as a motherboard tester. I wouldn't destroy it yet. Unless you are desperate for a keychain.

I'm not super interested actually.  I got a working 760 for cheap, and I'm doing one budget build out of it.  (don't know if I'll sell it or keep it afterwards)

But the CPU is also only like $5.
