With the 3 million subscriber giveaway having come to a close and the winners chosen I started wondering if LTT has ever done any forum exclusive giveaways as a way of giving back to their community? I know they're a YouTube channel and all but it always seems like the winners of giveaways are always the one-post wonders that collect their prize and then we never see them again.

I'm not saying this is a bad thing because you have to draw in new blood somehow. But have they ever done a giveaway that was exclusively for forum members who say had a 250/500/1000 minimum requirement? Personally I think it'd be nice to have a giveaway for just those who actually enjoy being on the forums even if it was something cheap like a gaming mouse or something like that.

What do you guys think?

this was a forum exclusive giveaway, only forum members were able to enter.

If you're saying "a giveaway they only advertise on the forum", yeah they do some of these. Sometimes they work with hardware makers like Roccat to give away mice or with someone like GFuel they even gave away a GTX 1080 away.

By "Forum Exclusive" I meant if they ever had any giveaways that had a minimum post count that was higher than 1 lol.

Users have had these in the past (to avoid double accounts too), but LTT themselves have never, because they want to get new users on the website via these giveaways.

I know that the primary reason for them is to increase the user base but it always seems like they just take the stuff and leave so I've always found it kind of counter productive.

They deserve the prizes just as much as me and you.

I never said that they didn't....don't know why you're putting words in my mouth like that. I was just stating that the idea behind the giveaway is to increase the user base of the forums and it doesn't really do much for that when people just create a bunch of one post accounts then take the prize and never be heard from again. You think you'd grow a more substantial user base if you rewarded return members by having different giveaways for reaching certain milestones.

I don't know how many times you want me to say it but the people who won the 3 million subscriber giveaway won it fair and square per the rules of the giveaway. I'm just talking about something for the people who actually want to be here.

I'm not putting words into your mouth, I'm just saying what I believe.

Anyways, I pointed out in my first post in this thread they do have giveaways that don't really get advertised outside of LTT (Other than maybe on Twitter a bit), so I'm just gonna leave it at that.
