New GPU for Battlefield 4

sthzje

So I've been playing BF4 Beta on my HD 6850 and I was only getting 25-30 FPS on medium at 1080p which isn't enough for me. So I'm asking you which GPU should I get for around 200 €. I'm really interested in buying a HD 7870 GHz edition from Sapphire, since the R9 and R7 series cards aren't available in my country yet or should I wait for the R9 270x.

And If i decide to sell my 6850, for how much could I sell it?

get a HD7970 or a R9 280x they are exactly the same.

right now the  HD 7970 is very cheap. i got one for less than $300. and it comes with the never settle gold bundle.

you might be able to sell your 6850 for about $100 if you are lucky.

not sure about the pricing in your area or hows the market for used stuff so take it with a grain of salt.

check ebay and other local classifieds to find the price of your card.

R9 270X/7870 XT. Maybe 7950 if you can find it cheap. I have a 660 that is equivalent to these and I had crisp 60FPS at medium and the same in BF3 Ultra. On top of that you get Mantle so you should be able to play at high/ultra 60FPS.

Save the money you would have spent on BF4 and buy a better card. BF4 will be half price very soon given how crappy it is!

I live in in Slovenia where prices aren't as low as you might think. A 7950 costs about 270 €. And don't get me started on a 7970.

Really? A 7870 for €200? Here in the Netherlands, the cheapest 7970 is €249. I think you can get way more power for €200 right now. Maybe a 7950 is an option? Sorry, I didn't read the entire thread. Maybe the 7870 is the best option for you.

New to Star Citizen? Look no further!
